Nashville is moving forward with one of its most ambitious riverfront transformations yet, as new plans take shape for a striking pedestrian and bike bridge that will link Germantown directly to the rapidly emerging East Bank.

Backed by Oracle Corporation as part of its massive River North investment, the bridge is designed to strengthen connectivity across the Cumberland River while anchoring a much larger wave of infrastructure tied to the company’s planned campus. Oracle has committed to building the crossing as part of its broader development agreement, which also includes new green space and public access improvements along the waterfront.

The campus itself—spanning roughly 65 acres and expected to bring thousands of jobs—sits at the center of Nashville’s East Bank vision, a 550-acre redevelopment zone that is being reimagined into a dense, walkable extension of downtown with parks, transit, and mixed-use districts.

Still in the conceptual phase, the bridge represents an early, highly visible piece of a long-term transformation that aims to reconnect neighborhoods, unlock riverfront access, and reshape the city’s skyline over the next decade.
