Demolition begins at 1428 Brickell, marking a significant milestone for the new 71-story tower, expected to be one of Miami’s tallest

The Miami-based real estate developer Ytech has initiated the demolition of the existing building at 1428 Brickell Avenue. This marks the first phase in constructing the 71-story luxury condominium, The Residences at 1428 Brickell. Acquired by Ytech in January 2017, the site previously housed a 100,000-square-foot office space. The demolition work is being undertaken by John Moriarty & Associates, a prominent construction team. This development is a key part of Ytech's growth, following the recent approval of their 75 Broadway project.

Yamal Yidios, CEO of Ytech, emphasized the company's commitment to unparalleled design and innovation in Miami with this project. The Residences at 1428 Brickell will offer exclusive residences ranging from $2 million to $7 million, featuring two- to four-bedroom plus den homes from 1,800 to 4,000 square feet. The residences will offer exceptional water views and a unique design that maximizes natural light. The property will include two-story residences and a $60 million penthouse with 30-foot ceilings, 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, and stunning views of Biscayne Bay. Lower penthouses will also be available, priced from $8 million. Sales are being managed by Cervera Real Estate.

The Residences at 1428 Brickell will also boast over 80,000 square feet of amenities. These will be located at the top of the tower, over 860 feet high, including private and shared spaces with panoramic views. Amenities will feature a 10,000 square foot gym, a rooftop pool and atrium, a hot spa, a two-story wine and art lounge, office suites, a private dining room with a Vaselli kitchen, a juice and wellness bar, a spa, an aquatic therapy area, a children’s center, guest suites, and more. Ytech is known for its meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the highest standards from concept to construction.

John Breistol, COO of Ytech, stated the company's rigorous approach to every development phase, ensuring the delivery of premier luxury residences in Brickell. Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, managing partner of Cervera Real Estate, echoed confidence in Ytech and the project, highlighting its appeal to both domestic and international buyers.

The project has also made headlines with its filings to the Federal Aviation Administration for installing two tall construction cranes, reaching 1,001 feet above ground. These cranes are expected to remain operational for about 19 months. Upon completion, projected for 2027, the 71-story condo tower, standing at 861 feet, is set to be one of Miami’s tallest buildings.
